I am a fairly new subscriber. My paternal grandparents emigrated separately from Bari and met and married each other in Norwich, CT (after my grandfather stopped hopping the rails). My grandfather was a stone mason and my father became a bricklayer.
I enjoy reading your blog and recipes and hope someday to travel to Bari and other parts of Italy. I've biked once in Tuscany and visited Florence.
