We make this every Easter with whatever we have around filling wise, just like my grandmother and great grandmother did. Esp like to put in artichoke hearts and pepperoni with Italian sausage and mortadella.

In Brooklyn our neighbors The Roccanovas, made this pie every Easter. We'd sit on the stoop of their brownstone and eat them like cupcakes - no forks. Good food always brings good memories.
