It’s time for the second episode of our new podcast “A Tavola” and we couldn’t be more excited to have our friend Alessandro join us from Tuscany. As you will hear, Alessandro, an olive oil farmer who transitioned from culinary management back to his roots in farming, has over 2000 olive trees near Montalcino in Tuscany.
We delve into the types of olives he grows, the difference between various olive oils (emphasizing of course the importance of extra virgin olive oil), and how to taste and evaluate olive oil. Alessandro also shares his favorite food pairings for the delicious oil.
In our episode, Alessandro mentions 2 delicious favorite food pairings 😍 Both can be found on his YouTube channel, Ne Vedrete Delle Belle (you will see some beautiful things).
First is his delicious and healthy orange salad:
Then his very adorable video on making Tuscan bruschetta (a must-watch!):
Come join us for a fun episode and learn more about extra-virgin olive oil!
For those who might be interested in buying some of his delicious olive oil, we will be bringing in a shipment later this fall. (Drop us a line if interested.) More info to come once the olives have been harvested! Woohoo!
As always, send us a message or leave a comment to let us know if you enjoyed this episode or to suggest topics or guests for the podcast…this is so much fun! 😊
And for those that may have noticed that my wonderful brother, Joey, is missing from this episode, he is off recuperating from some recently planned surgery (and this episode was a tad early by his Los Angeles standards) - but fear not, he will be back soon! Send him some healing vibes for his speedy recovery. (We miss you Joey! ❤️)
And with that - let’s talk olive oil!
Un abbraccio,
